Your First Visit

At your initial appointment, Dr. Baluschak will be happy to answer all of your questions, whether about cosmetic dentistry, pain you are experiencing, or help with dental anxiety. This visit will focus on gathering accurate, detailed records of your oral health and learning about your unique needs. As a team, we work to optimize health based on the proven mouth and body connection. Recent studies have shown that your oral health affects overall health, and gum disease can increase the risk for serious health conditions, including stroke, heart attack, and Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Baluschak will help you secure solid oral health first, then build sound dental work on this strong foundation.

Plan about an hour or a little longer for your first visit. You’ll meet with a dental assistant for digital photos and X-rays, then Dr. Baluschak will introduce himself and examine your mouth, head, and neck. The dentist’s recommendations will be based on what he considers the best options for your situation. His expertise has evolved over 20 years, with experience and continuing education.

As your dentist, Dr. Baluschak remains focused on what is best for your health. He always recommends treatment based on your unique situation. At times, your insurance group benefit plans might provide some coverage for what you need. Typically, insurance companies want to deal directly with the subscribing patient. Since claims are now submitted electronically, patients receive their subsidy directly, within a couple of days. Today's insurance plans vary greatly, but we will do our best to help you interpret the details of your plan. Also, we will submit your estimate inquiries and electronic submissions at every visit.
